Conquest

USC’s Saturday shutout against Oregon State brings them to 3-1 in the season and 1-0 in the Pac-10 conference. Currently ranked #20 in the Coaches Poll and #18 in the AP Poll…while the Cornhuskers fall out of both polls. It shall be an interesting football season in my house, while I cheer on […]

Ant Attack

Off and on, over the last few months Chris and I have had problems with ants getting into our cat food. We’ve tried a few things (RAID and a homemade Borax thing), but were always afraid that George (the cat) would get into the ant stuff. Lura seems to have a solution that we’ll […]

Friday Five

Not particularly inspiring questions…but whatever.

What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind? Anything that involves wine, my couch and my honey. (yike, I just realized how awful that sounds. Get your minds outta the gutter, kids.)

Christopher called […]

Picture Perfect

I finally had a chance to scan one of my favorite pictures of Christopher and I. This was taken in June of 2001, while we spent the weekend in Annapolis, Maryland.

Calligraphy

I’m beginning my second calligraphy class tonight. This one will teach me the basics of the itallic hand, for addressing our invitations. We’re planning on sending out “save-the-date” cards in the next few months, hoping to give people enough time to plan their stay in Santa Barbara.
In other news, I’ve begun narrowing down […]

Face of America 2002

Today begins The Face of America 2002, a three-day bicycle ride from Ground Zero, NY to Washington, DC. I’m hoping to make it out to the Pentagon on Sunday to see the riders in. What an amazing ride!

Friday Five

Yea, it’s Friday!! And now, kids, it’s time for this morning’s Friday Five.

Would you say that you’re good at keeping in touch with people? I’d say that on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being very good at keeping in touch…I’m about an 8. I am usually pretty good about […]

Dating Rules

I think that every woman between the ages of 11 and 41 should be required to read Carolyn Hax each week. Below the age of 11 the topics are a bit mature and it will only make them bitter people. Above the age of 41 it won’t make a difference, if people haven’t […]
