Happy Birthday!

…to my little brother. His birthday really isn’t until tomorrow, but he’s living in Oz and so it’s already tomorrow there now. Seems a little sneaky to me, getting to celebrate your birthday a day early just because you cross the International Date Line.

10 Things I Love

This move has truly been one of the most difficult events of my life. But, for as much as I miss our lives in Virginia, I have really grown to love Seattle. The last two days have been gorgeous and provided a wonderful reminder of how amazing this city can be. So, […]

Got Gas?

It cost me $35 to fill my tank this week! I drive a Jetta 1.8T and love it. It’s super cute and except for when I’m showing Dillon how to rev the engine, it’s relatively efficient.
We’ve been in the market for a new car for a while, downsizing from two cars to one. […]

Things To Look Forward To

I’m certain that at some point, Christopher and I will be faced with a most undesirable diaper situation. With only a liquid diet, Dillon has spared us any huge or particularly pungent messes. The worst, so far, has included some rather minor blow-outs.
However, we’ll be starting Dillon on some solid food in the […]

Date Night

This Saturday, Christopher and I will have our first official “date night”. My parents will be in town for the weekend and my mom sent us a very generous gift certificate for The Pink Door in Pike Place Market, complete with reservations and baby-sitting. I. CAN’T. WAIT.

TOS

This is definitely the most honest and hysterical Terms of Service I’ve ever seen! Love it!
Excerpts:

Section B: What you can’t do or if why our good friend Guido might pay you a visit.
Section C: Mucho Legal Noticeo or terms of usage.

Beer Goggles

Too funny! Oh wait, that pretty much describes my four years of college!?! Just don’t tell Christopher that this marriage business is really punishment. Of course, he may have already figured that one out. (via tawcan)
Police today warned all men who frequent yacht clubs and dock parties to stay cautious when […]

Four Months

Dillon,
This last month has been incredible. Although you continue to amaze us with your growth each day, it’s the emergence of your little personality that has your father and I in awe so often. I cannot believe that you are the same tiny little person that fit so snugly into my single arm […]

Link Exchanges

It’s funny, I’ve had a couple of requests in just the past week after not having any for years. I guess that means that I’m getting popular? Um, not likely.
In any case, here’s the simple answer: I don’t do them. I link to the sites that I read often or those […]

Good Morning

As soon as I allow these words to be typed out, I’ll jinx myself…I just know. But I’m willing to throw caution to the wind. Dillon has officially slept through the night for the last two nights. He’s stirred a bit, but each time went back to sleep with relatively little effort […]
